FAQs
General
WallPops are crafted for durability, meaning our high-performance vinyl isn’t currently accepted by curbside recycling. However, they minimize renovation waste by skipping heavy debris like pulverized tile. We’re constantly exploring greener materials, but for now, the greenest move is enjoying your beautiful, waste-free makeover for years to come!
Most WallPops®, including NuWallpaper and decals, are VOC, PVC, and formaldehyde-free. Our FloorPops® are REACH and FloorScore certified, meeting strict indoor air quality standards. We’ve ditched the nasty smells so you can decorate with total peace of mind, meaning no toxic fumes.
Keep a sharp utility knife for crisp edges, a smoothing tool to banish bubbles, a level for precision, and a tape measure. Finally, grab some rubbing alcohol to prep your surface. Clean, dry, and flat is ideal.

Adhesive Film FAQ
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor.
Adhesive film is a high-quality, vinyl-based material with an adhesive backing. It is used to cover and transform a variety of smooth, flat surfaces like furniture, cabinets, and more.
Adhesive film can be applied over nonporous, smooth, flat surfaces. We recommend testing the film in an inconspicuous area before installing to ensure the adhesive film is the right choice for your surface.
Adhesive film can be applied over smooth, finished wood. Finishes such as polyurethane and epoxy may be damaged when removing adhesive film. We recommend testing in an inconspicuous area before installing to ensure adhesive film is right for your surface.
After a fresh coat of paint has been applied, you should wait 3 to 4 weeks before applying WallPops. This allows the paint to fully cure, ensuring that the wall decal will not damage the paint or leave an area of varied color underneath when it is removed.
First, ensure the surface is clean and dry. Measure the area and cut the film to size, leaving a bit of an overlap. Peel away a small section of the backing and align the film with the edge of your surface. Slowly peel back the rest of the backing as you smooth the film down with a squeegee or soft cloth, working from the center to the edges.
Yes, it is! To remove, start at a corner and slowly peel the film away. If the adhesive is stubborn, use a hairdryer on a low setting to warm and loosen it before peeling.
It typically does not leave a residue. Any minor adhesive left behind can be cleaned off with warm, soapy water or a mild adhesive remover.
Adhesive film is heat resistant up to 167°F (75°C) for short periods. However, we do not recommend placing hot items like boiling pots or pans directly onto the film, and always use a trivet or heat pad.
Adhesive film is water-resistant. It can be easily wiped clean with a damp cloth and mild soap, making it great for kitchens and bathrooms. However, it should not be submerged in water or used in areas with constant direct water contact.
Adhesive film is designed for smooth, flat surfaces such as furniture and cabinets. While it can be used on very smooth walls, we recommend using WallPops® for wall applications as it is specifically designed for that purpose.
No, adhesive film is intended for indoor use only. Exposure to outdoor elements like UV rays and extreme weather will cause the film to degrade and the adhesive to fail.
Yes, the film is easily trimmable with scissors.
If you notice air bubbles during installation, simply peel back that section and reapply. If a bubble remains after the project is finished, use a small pin to prick the bubble and smooth the air out with your finger.
Yes! It is perfect for updating kitchen cabinets, backsplashes (away from direct heat), and bathroom vanities. Just ensure the surface is not in direct, constant contact with water.
While our adhesive film makes countertops look like a million bucks, it isn’t food-grade. Avoid prepping your artisanal sourdough directly on the surface. Always use a cutting board to protect the film from knives and heat.
Let’s keep it dry! While water-resistant enough for bathroom humidity, our products aren’t designed for direct, constant water contact. Save the magic for the dry zones to ensure your style stays put.
Anti-Fatigue Mats FAQ
No, the Anti-Fatigue Mats are not peel and stick.
They are made of PVC and are non-toxic, phthalate, and formaldehyde free.
The interlocking floor tiles feature an emboss effect that gives them a slight texture.
While it is not necessary to anchor or adhere the mats to the floor, if you wish to achieve a non-slip application of the mats we would suggest using FloorPops® Mat Grippers.
We do not recommend placing heavy objects on top of the mats as they are likely to leave a permanent indentation.
Placing the tiles on low-pile carpet is usually fine, however, we do not recommend using them on medium to high pile carpeting.
Shoes with a flat bottom are best. Please note that high heeled shoes will puncture the surface and potentially leave an indentation.
The Anti-Fatigue Mats are designed for interior use only.
Our mats are durable enough for daily use and are considered pet-friendly based on the materials used. However, your pet can potentially damage or scratch the surface based on their size and breed.
Yes! The foam tiles can be easily cut with a straight edge or scissors.
Yes, they are liquid resistant so spills can be wiped up easily! But please note, mats may become slippery when wet.
We do not recommend using a vacuum to clean the mats due to the suction power which may cause damage.
No, the mats should not be placed near a heat source nor used on top of a heated floor.
No, we do not offer samples of the Anti-Fatigue Mats.
Anti-Fatigue Mats are shipped rolled which will result in a possible curled mat upon arrival. We recommend placing on a flat surface with the curled side facing down to flatten overnight.
The Anti-Fatigue Mats are slip resistant.
No, the Anti-Fatigue Mats are not made of memory foam.
The Anti-Fatigue Mats have a 12 mm bevel edge and are about 0.5" thick.
It is safe to use a mild soap and water to gently clean the mats with a sponge or cloth without causing damage. For the best results, avoid using harsh chemicals or vacuums. Please note that after cleaning the floor underneath the mat, make sure to dry the floor before placing your mat again. Moisture could become trapped under the mat and may not dry. Prolonged exposure to moisture or liquid trapped under the mat may cause mold or mildew which could damage some types of flooring surfaces.
InHome Backsplash Tile FAQ
One pack of InHome brand tiles contains four 10-in x 10-in sheets.
No. While they are water-resistant, they are not waterproof and are not designed to be placed in a shower.
The tiles are water-resistant, but not waterproof. This means that being occasionally splashed with water, i.e. from the sink or spills, is fine, but constant exposure to water (like in a shower) is not.
Yes, the tiles are 3D and designed to look just like real tiles. They are raised a bit above the "grout" lines.
The tiles can be removed by peeling off, however, they are meant to be a more permanent design solution in order to hold up to the rigors of a busy home. This means that they have a stronger adhesive than our decals and WallPops®, and so could potentially take a bit of paint off a wall when removed.
Backsplash tiles adhere best when installed on a smooth, flat surface. For this reason, we recommend filling existing grout lines before installing over existing tile.
Yes, but if placed near a stove without a backing, please leave 15 inches (38 cm) of space or more above the range to avoid exposure to extreme heat.
Measure the width x height of the areas you are looking to cover in feet (for non-continuous spaces, like around a stove or cabinet, you may need to measure each space separately and add together). Each pack covers about 2.77 square feet, so you would divide that total square footage by 2.77 to get the minimum number of packs needed. As there is a pattern match to take into account when sticking each tile sheet next to each other, we recommend ordering a few extra packs to compensate.
No, they are not meant to be placed directly on a heat source. However, if it is a faux fireplace that is not in use, that is fine!
Yes, wipe down with a damp paper towel or cloth.
Our tiles are easy to install! Watch a step-by-step video of how to install our tiles here.
Yes, they are easily trimmable with a utility knife or scissors.
No, they are not designed to be used on a floor. For that, we recommend FloorPops®!
Wall Decals FAQ
Yes! WallPops can be removed and repositioned over and over again without damaging your walls and without losing their ability to stick. They are perfect for decorating dorms, apartments, or any other rental unit.
Yes, absolutely! WallPops are re-usable, removable, and repositionable. To reposition WallPops, simply peel them off the wall and smooth onto a new location.
To transport WallPops® to a new dorm, apartment, or home, remove slowly from the top down and stick onto the original backing sheet. If you forgot to save the backing, you can also use wax paper or a vinyl shower liner. This will protect the adhesive and keep the WallPops from creasing during transport. Don't fold your WallPops, as this can cause creases. If needed, you can roll them instead.
As long as WallPops are not getting directly sprayed with water, WallPops are a great addition to any bathroom wall!
WallPops work best on smooth, flat surfaces. However, WallPops can still be successfully installed on textured walls if they are not excessively porous or uneven. We have had customers use WallPops successfully on a variety of surfaces. They stick best to painted surfaces, so if you are trying to stick WallPops to knock-down texture walls, concrete, or raw wood, you will have more success if the surface has been painted. In general, WallPops stick great to tiles, mirrors, glass, and wallpaper.
WallPops can be used to decorate a wide variety of surfaces including:
- Appliances: refrigerator, washer and dryer, etc.
- Furniture: staircases, cabinets, doors, filing cabinets, bookcases, etc.
- Other: smooth tiles, mirrors, windows, and glass
If a surface is smooth, flat, dry and clean, and is not a non-stick surface, WallPops should adhere.
WallPops should be placed at least 15 in (38 cm) or more from a stove, fireplace, or other heart source to avoid exposure of product to heat.
After a fresh coat of paint has been applied, you should wait 3 to 4 weeks before applying WallPops. This allows the paint to fully cure, ensuring that the wall decal will not damage the paint or leave an area of varied color underneath when it is removed.
If you need to clean your WallPops, simply wipe with a damp cloth. No need for chemical cleaners or abrasives, which could damage WallPops.
We do not recommend using WallPops outside or on cars. While they may work well for a short time, WallPops were not designed for outdoor use and may begin to fade and peel.
WallPops are made of durable, high-quality vinyl (PVC), designed with peel and stick technology for easy installation. They are non-toxic, free of phthalates and formaldehyde, and feature strong adhesives suited for walls.
FloorPops Floor Tiles FAQ
Proceed with caution as FloorPops aren't typically compatible with radiant floor heating. Constant heat can soften the adhesive, causing tiles to shift or lift. If your floors are cozy and heated, it's best to avoid peel and stick tiles to ensure your design stays in place.
FloorPops are designed for a seamless, edge-to-edge look without the mess of traditional grout. Adding grout can actually trap moisture and cause the adhesive to fail prematurely. If you’re craving that authentic tile vibe, choose a pattern with "printed grout lines" to get the aesthetic without the heavy lifting.
The intense heat and moisture from a steam mop can break down the adhesive, causing your beautiful floors to curl or lift. To keep your FloorPops looking fresh, stick to a regular broom and a damp (not soaking!) mop with a mild cleaner.
Dropped a heavy pot? Don’t panic! Just use a hairdryer to warm the adhesive on the damaged tile, lift it with a flat scraper, and peel it away. Clean any leftover residue, then peel and stick a fresh tile in its place. It’s a five-minute fix for a flawless floor.
Follow our step-by-step instructions of how to install peel and stick FloorPops here.
To be durable enough to withstand foot traffic, FloorPops were designed with a strong adhesive. This means that they are NOT removable in the sense that our peel and stick NuWallpaper or wall decals are removable/temporary. They can, however, be removed should you choose to. We recommend using a scraper or an object with a thin, flat surface to wiggle under a seam and pop a corner of the tile up. From there you should be able to peel off the tile with your hands. Please note that as the adhesive is strong, if installed on a painted surface, FloorPops are likely to lift the paint. It is also possible that some adhesive residue may be left behind when FloorPops are removed.
You may find a slight variation in design match from tile to tile. This variation should not affect the overall look of your floor. Be sure to rotate tiles for the best look.
FloorPops are 0.06 inches thick (they are 3D, not flat decals).
We do not recommend installing over grouted tiles or floating wood laminate, as the base layer would not be secure. If you choose to install over ceramic or grouted tiles, we recommend filling all grout lines with thin-set tile mortar before installing FloorPops over existing tiles to create a flat, smooth surface.
If not polished concrete, a primer adhesive, such as liquid neoprene, is necessary for a secure application.
We do not recommend installing Floor Tiles over linoleum.
We do not recommend installing FloorPops over floating laminate.
FloorPops are water resistant. Allow 5 days after installation before cleaning, but once those 5 days have passed you can sweep, mop, vacuum, or dust away! For best results, use a vinyl floor cleaner and do not clean with an excessive amount of water.
No, we do not recommend installing FloorPops on walls.
FloorPops are REACH and FloorScore certified, and fully compliant with California Proposition 65.
Due to fire hazard, we do not recommend installing FloorPops around a working fireplace.

WallPops Peel and Stick Wallpaper FAQ
Tempting, but it's a no from us. Peel and stick wallpaper is made of non-porous vinyl designed to repel stains and moisture which also means it repels paint. If you’re craving a new color, the beauty of our product is that you can simply peel it off and start fresh with a new pattern.
Absolutely. Just like high-end fabrics, wallpaper colors can vary slightly between print runs. To ensure a perfect color match, always check the batch numbers on your rolls. We highly recommend ordering your entire project’s worth of wallpaper at once so your walls stay perfectly consistent and gorgeously in sync.
It’s easier than it looks! Unscrew the cover plates first, then apply your wallpaper directly over the opening. Use your utility knife to cut a small "X" over the outlet area and trim away the excess. Once you screw the plate back on, you’ll have a professional, seamless finish.
Follow our step-by-step instructions or watch our video on how to apply and remove your peel and stick wallpaper here.
